I need a miracle!

I found my sadhana, my peace, this past Saturday. Have you heard of the Miracle League? It is truly miraculous. The Miracle League of Az. is a miniature baseball field overflowing with volunteers of all ages assisting kids with physical and emotional challenges. On this particular morning the 4 – 6 yr. olds were playing “baseball” with a plastic wiffle ball either tossed from the pitcher’s mound or set on a tee.
This was my second time to be a spectator and I was convinced this time I would not cry because I knew what it was all about. I was wrong.
There is something about human kindness and love in action that melts the heart.
Watching the interaction of volunteers and players, seeing pure love in the eyes of the parents whose kids were participating and having the privilege to sit in the stands to cheer and clap as each player rounds the bases…felt like an out of body experience.
For one hour on a Saturday morning I was able to sit in the middle of a place of pure joy. I left with hope for humankind.
Where is your sadhana? Your place of peace and love and joy?
It can be as simple as a wiffle ball game on a Saturday morning.
