Brophy has benefited from the partnership with Saving Amy over the last few years through the intimate relationships that it facilitates between our students and the families that Saving Amy accompanies. At the center of the Saving Amy’s work are accompaniment, encounter, and compassion. Their work models for our students how to be in the world, and how to build community. Our students walk away from their time at Saving Amy with a new perspective on the structural barriers and institutional oppression that each of the Saving Amy families faces, while simultaneously being offered a hopeful way to build God’s kingdom and challenge oppression through relationship.
